Abstract

This study aims to analyze the preferences or tendencies of business owners toward technology-based creative business models in confronting competition. Having a technology-based creative business model can be a viable option for business owners competing in the digital era. A technology-based creative business model can generate additional value that leads the company toward a competitive advantage. However, on the other hand, some business owners have yet to maximize the implementation of technology in their operations. This, of course, will affect the business model used, causing the value offered to consumers to be suboptimal. The research method employed is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentary study. The results show that technology has a significant impact across all studied sectors. In graphic design, technology supports creativity and collaboration. In fashion, technology facilitates design and production while reducing costs. The culinary sector uses technology for online ordering systems; architecture utilizes technology for project planning; and photography enhances image quality and marketing. These findings affirm that technology functions as the main driver of innovation, improves business processes, and provides a competitive advantage in the digital era.
